Reading Tarot at The Black Salt
One of the great things about our bar is our guests. Being a witchcraft bar, our guests are excited to practice and learn more about different forms of occultism. Though we offer tarot decks for rent as a way to empower guests to engage divination for themselves, we often get asked for readings.
As a reader at The Black Salt, you have the opportunity to provide guests with unique insights into their path, as well as guidance on how to wield their own intuitive powers. Our goal is to shift the perception of witchcraft / paganism / occultism / psychic awareness from being unapproachable, to being a wonderful and relevant form of belief that enriches the world around us and is available to all.
How We Collaborate
To apply as a reader, you must have at least 2 years experience providing paid readings. If you are able, kindly provide your resume with your application. We like to know about your professional work history, and any certifications or educational history. We appreciate if you include 2 professional references.
If your application is accepted, an in person reading is conducted at your interview.
Readings are performed in the bar on Thursdays from 6:00-11:00 PM. We do not book readings in advance. Guests sign up for readings after arriving in person. Readings can be 15 or 30 minutes long. We rotate readers throughout the month and schedule one to two months in advance.
You determine the price for your own readings. The Black Salt approves the rate. Readings are purchased directly through you either by cash or venmo. You receive 100% of the profit and tips from all readings. The Black Salt requires a $25 one time marketing fee prior to the first date of your scheduled reading session.
The Black Salt promotes you as a reader on our website, social media platforms and relevant press outlets in advance of your scheduled reading sessions. We request a brief bio and profile picture prepared for use.
Readings are a part of the services we offer at the bar. Tarot readings are additional to food and beverage services. We encourage you to cross promote, however, please keep in mind the collaborative mission of our arrangement.
